I'm pretty sure this is a bug and the held note is given a note-off before the new note gets played because legato works fine if I'm physically holding the old note. I noticed that mono with legato doesn't do legato under hold (performance and program hold alike): the envelopes are re-triggered and the running sample is restarted.

You can try a 5 second +12 semitone step with saw up shape and Use Shape: On to see what I mean. applied after scale fitting instead of before, otherwise you can get step jumps in a vibrato. Speaking of fit-to-scale, shape-based modulation of the sample's pitch should probably be exempt from scale-fitting and behave more like voice pitch modding, i.e. Round-down is such a useful scale quantization policy that there should be an option for it (e.g. It uses a custom note mapping table which I'm sure has its logic, but an alternative round-down strategy has two big advantages: 1) you don't need the docs to know what'll happen, 2) you can program a 0, +4, +7 (+11) semitone pitch sequence and it'll come out as the correct major/minor/diminished arpeggio, and if your scale has an augmented chord, you can still mod an extra semitone onto the +7 on demand.

Hope I won't be overly annoying.Ī cool feature added in v2.0 was pitch fit-to-scale. I will now barrage you with feedback because I saw that you guys had refined the Wavestate so much since release that I can't not give it a shot. Google took me to this thread and I'm stoked that one of the Wavestate's lead engineers is in here, and some beta testers too.

I have barely touched the computer since I have it, I enjoy crafting and playing patches on it, even if it's of course fiddlier than the editor - I love it. I enjoy Eurorack simulation a lot, so the Wavestate's mod bonanza was immediately appealing to me, and with the layered + step sequenced architecture it's an amazing blend of freedom and order. I've been happy with MIDI controllers + VSTs until I got the urge to get a hardware synth, and I went with the Wavestate despite it existing as a plugin. Hi all! I'm a new user and as of a month ago, a Wavestate owner.
